The Difference Between Success & Failure In Business

The mind is like any other muscle in your body, much like a bodybuilder works out his body the same goes with your brain, it needs exercise & this comes through learning about personal development & learning new skills.

If you should decide to venture onto the path of starting your own business you are going to need bags & bags of perseverance & commitment to the task at hand.

This is where a strong mindset will see you through the tough times & believe me, they will come to test you.

Statistics say 95% of people will give up before they actually start having any sort of success, the reason is it’s the easy option.

Where The Success Happens

Real success starts to happen when you start breaking down the barriers & develop a never say die attitude.

Why do you think the top entrepreneurs of today are so successful…?

People like Sir Richard Branson or Donald Trump weren’t successful because they woke up one morning & it happened by magic. It was because they never gave up on their dream.

Entrepreneur, success, money, motivation, inspiration, wealth, cash, investing, quotes, billionaire, career success, mindset, innovation, attitude, focus, skills, attraction, law of attraction, prosperous, abundance, business, net work, bio, story, grind, company, hard work, determination, goal setting, self growth, self development, personal growth, personal development, greatness, learning, financial, Mark Cuban, change, dream, videos, startups, millionaire, life, effective habits, opportunity, reading, failure, failing, persistent, progress, get rich, riches, how to make money online, how to be successful, how to reach your maximum potential, psychology, how to build your personal brand, how to meditate, meditation, living a radiant life, how to accomplish your goals, how to achieve your goals, how to create your own destiny, how to increase your productivity, how to be productive, energy, powerful

If you read the life stories of these gentlemen you will discover that they failed, became broke & hit rock bottom on more than one occasion.

But there is one constant, they never ever quit.

Nobody can teach to have the mind of an entrepreneur, you can learn techniques to help yourself but it is something that develops & gets stronger over time.

The Importance Knowing Why Your Are Doing What You Are Doing

An essential thing to have if you are starting a new venture is a strong WHY!

Your WHY is your big reason, it’s the thing that stirs your soul, it’s your reason why you should NEVER give up until you have achieved the success you desire.

Once you have your WHY you have the beginnings of a solid foundation on which to start to build your business. Like the foundations of a great building, if they are built correctly it’s very difficult to knock that baby down.

All you need to do then is keep pushing through your barriers & keep educating your mind through whatever medium you prefer.

I personally love reading personal development & business books, also live coaching events are awesome because you leave them with a “I can take on the world” attitude.

To summarize, get your head in the right place & everything else will follow, and the next time you fell like quitting remember your reason WHY!

Make sure you break down that wall, walk through & build a bloody great wall behind yourself so you can never go back!

Your post in very inspiring. Many people have it in their spirit to keep trying. One also need guidance, such as the sort you give. Entrepreneurship has terrible risks which can be manageable. I found the classic book on entrepreneurship “The Lean Startup” by Eric Ries helpful.

You are so spot on in your article.
What I like to add is the fact that we look at defeat as something negative, but in essence it could become the actual turning point of everything a person aimed for.
A person needs to remind oneself that defeat can become the core of a great success.

Hmmm…. never-say-die’s a great approach, 90% of the time. The other 10%? Fatal.

You’re absolutely right, David; persistence is absolutely essential. And… like other essentials, it has a mate. Persistence’ mate is “facing the facts”.

“Faciing the facts” supercharges persistence by facilitating learning, retrying… even pivoting.

Almost every success startup I’ve read about or been a part of was successful… after at least one pivot.

But you don’t get to pivot if you haven’t hung in there long enough to be desperate to succeed. Thanks for the great post, david!
