There’s nothing more painful than the feeling of regret. This will eat your flesh and haunt you with the worst nightmares you can imagine.
The biggest mistake that people make is settling way too low. People have the ability to achieve the impossible but they’re too scared.
People are too scared they’re going to fail. They’re scared people will laugh at them. Most people would rather keep on dreaming because they can’t stand the idea of trying and realizing they’re not good enough.
Let’s clarify a couple of things about accomplishing your dreams.
1. It will be brutally hard
So what? You want things to be hard. Accomplishing your dreams wouldn’t be as fun and worthwhile if it was easy. I’m not sure about you but I like to feel special and unique.
I don’t want to accomplish something that anyone can accomplish. I want things to be hard so few people dare to try.
2. Embrace the process
Stop concerning yourself about the end result. The fun is in the journey. I’ve been bodybuilding for 8 years now and I don’t look forward to having the best body in the world.
I look forward to my next training session. I look forward to keeping my diet. This is where I learn about life. This is where I get stronger.
3. Do something unrealistic
Unrealistic is misinterpreted for something being impossible. All unrealistic means is that there will barely be any competition.
It’s a lot better to aim towards a really crazy and ballsy goal. You will be pumped with so much adrenaline that you will be really motivated to overcome any obstacle that comes along the way.
