Mark Cuban is one my favorite individuals in the entire world. I recently set a goal to be “one notch cooler” than Mark during my life time. Now, although this is in no way a measurable goal, it demonstrates my and everyone else’s adoration for Cuban and his ability to turn anything he touches into gold.
Mark Cuban was a born-entrepreneur. He was one of those individuals that just seemed to be lucky enough to be born with the traits of success and business know-how.
“Mark was an entrepreneur before the word was invented”. -Brian Cuban; Brother
His first business started when he just a teenager, where he would buy and sell stamps for astronomical profit margins. In the video you’ll watch below, you’ll hear about how he made one purchase for 25 cents and turned it into $50! Insane profit margins for just a kid out of Pennsylvania, am I right?
By the time he was in college, Mark had already started multiple other businesses, including a disco business and a bar on campus called Motley’s. The bar was eventually shut down, but not before Cuban made it a wild success.
During his early twenties, Cuban had what many would call “his first big success”. He started Micro Solutions, a software company out of Dallas, TX that was eventually sold for $6 million.
After a short hiatus and some hard partying and traveling, Mark returned to the world of business and launched the startup that most people know him for, BroadCast.com.
In the video below, you’ll learn much more about the life a the billionaire sports fanatic and what allowed him to soar to success in so many different industries. Enjoy…
