5 Ways to Build a Quality Online Community

Intentionally pursuing community will drive your success greatly. Surrounding yourself with quality individuals who are motivated and passionate will stimulate the same in you and help you build on your success.

Here are five ways that I have found to build quality community in your life:

1. Be Intentional!

If you are not intentionally slotting out time to cultivate community in your life, you need to start. Block out time weekly, daily, whatever to network and get to know people. Don’t sell or ask, just get to know.

2. Get over your fear of rejection

When speaking with people and getting to know them, some simply won’t like you. Some will have good reasons and some won’t, but that is completely irrelevant. You need to not care so much what people care about you.

Be yourself and simply look to contribute to someone else’s journey. If you get rejected, so what?

3. Social media – a great resource

Social media outlets are a great way to find a community to be a part of. It is super-obvious because we all use Facebook, but seek out like-minded people on these platforms! They are there.

4. Give, give, give before you take

Please don’t be the person who always asks others to do this or that or buy this piece-of crap book I just wrote. DONT BE THAT PERSON! Invest in people first. Get to know your community/followers. Asking for the sale can wait.

5. Ask questions!

In my experience, asking people questions is a great way to open up conversation and build relationships. Platitudes have their place, but ASK QUESTIONS.
