A lot of marketers that jump into blogging are making some of the most crucial mistakes that are not allowing them to breakthrough in their business and in their online marketing in general.
Before I got started I saw other people’s blogs and I was noticing things they were doing wrong, so I have created this blog post so you could avoid those same mistakes that won’t let you get the desired results.
So these are the main 5 Mistakes that people make with blogging:
1. They are too focused on themselves instead of solving their target audience’s problems.
People think they lack credibility and cannot get out of their comfort zone, and they try to impress someone with their knowledge, and especially technical knowledge.
Don’t be so technical, because your target audience may not be as techie as you are. Just speak the language other people would understand. Remember, it’s not about YOU, it’s about THEM.
2. They wait for their blog to be perfect.
You should know that there’s nothing perfect in the world. It’s just not possible, there will always be some imperfection, and that’s absolutely fine, we’re all human. A lot of bloggers are just so focused on every single word they type, so they spend too much time on such things.
I am a perfectionist too, but I am not that concentrated on doing everything perfect, even I can mis-spell some words or make mistakes, but that’s absolutely fine. So you should not wait for your blog to be perfect; waiting will not bring you results. While waiting you’re just failing forward.
3. They take their optin lightly.
The main reason of having a blog, and basically of marketing your business online is List Building.
If you’re not building your list, you’re not building your business. So make sure, you have a clear Call to Action on your blog. It is really important to tell people what to do. Show them where to opt in. And by the way, don’t forget to test where your leads are coming from.
4. They mismanage their list.
When you build your list, you should remember that you need to deliver good content to keep that list, and turn them into your buyers as well. You need to take care of your list. Whether it’s 10 people, 100 people or 1000 people. If you don’t give them valuable information, they won’t stick around.
5. They are not consistent.
This is why most bloggers and marketers in general fail. They start doing something, don’t get results and just give up. Giving up is not an option for you.
If you really want to become a successful entrepreneur,s you need to stay consistent UNTIL you get the results you need. If you start blogging and don’t get results in 30 days, it doesn’t matter that blogging isn’t working. It means you need to push harder and keep working. Every work brings results once you are consistent with your actions.
So if you just started blogging or about to begin, these are the exact 5 mistakes that you should avoid making. I encourage you to get into blogging, get busy, don’t over-complicate things and don’t try to be perfect!
