Hey breh, what stoppin’ me from getting sh*% done?
First off, we have laziness. We all love to kick off our shoes after a long day of work and hop on that couch. Throw on some Netflix, order some take-out, and now you’re living life.
Don’t get me wrong, that sounds like heaven any day of the week, but how about turning that into a reward rather than running the same routine everyday?
Let’s say you make it a goal to work out for at least 30 minutes everyday after work, and at the end of the week you reward yourself with a lazy day. Now you’ll be looking forward to that lazy day all week and when it finally comes, trust me it will feel better than it ever did before.
Sure it might be tough the first week but soon it will become a habit, and a good one at that.
You will begin feeling better every week and you can start increasing your 30 minute work outs to 1 hour work outs. Now you’re looking good, and feeling good!
Next in line, the battle with procrastination. If you happen to have one of those, “Eh, I’ll get around to it later” attitudes, this one is for you. I myself happen to have been one of those do it last minute, or never get around to it kind of people.
After realizing how much I had pushed off and never finished, I decided to start doing things right then and there. If you too do the same, you will actually be able to feel yourself getting more tasks done and accomplishing more goals throughout the week.
All it takes is a little effort and a can-do attitude and anything is possible.
Don’t believe me? Try it out for just a month so you can see for yourself how much more you can really get done. Time is valuable, use it wisely.
3. Bad Eating Habits
Lastly, we come to food. If you live off of fast food and instant meals, this is dedicated to you.
Constantly eating greasy, unhealthy, fattening food will only lead to health problems, laziness, and an unproductive lifestyle. Not only will it take a toll on your body, but your quality of life as well.
If you happen to be an athlete or a gym rat, by all means feel free to take that cheat day that you deserve. If this is an everyday habit, its time for a change. You may not feel the consequences yet, but in the future they will eventually catch up to you.
You don’t want to end up wishing you had changed your eating habits when you had the chance, so do yourself a favor and make the right choices while you still can!
Think and incorporate these three changes throughout your daily activities and you will find yourself getting happier, healthier, and most importantly, more productive.
